Frequently Asked Questions

  • Which Antigua is this?

Our wedding will be taking place in Antigua, Guatemala (not to be confused with Antigua and Barbuda in the Caribbean).

  • Which airport should I fly into? How do I get to Antigua?

Please ensure you are flying into La Aurora International Airport (GUA). The airport is approximately 1 hour from Antigua. Please navigate to Travel + Accommodations to arrange transportation.

  • Do I need a visa prior to my travels?

A visa is not required for short-term travel for U.S. citizens, Europeans, and South Korean nationals. However, your passport must have a six-month validity period to enter Guatemala. Please click here for details on visa requirements for all nationals.

  • When do I need to arrive for the wedding?

We recommend arriving on January 15th to ensure you can attend the Pre-Wedding events on January 16th and the Wedding and Reception on January 17th.

Please feel free to extend your stay to visit other parts of Guatemala and enjoy the beautiful weather in January!

  • Can we bring additional guests or family members who were not invited?

Due to the intimate nature of our wedding and strict space limitations, we kindly insist that only the guests listed on the invitation attend. Thank you for understanding!

  • Can we bring children to the wedding?

Due to space limitations and venue restrictions, we must respectfully insist that no children under 18 attend. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

  • What do I wear for the wedding events?

Suggested attire is on our wedding weekend page linked here.

  • What's the weather like in January in Antigua?

During the day, the weather is pleasant and hovers around 70°F - 75°F which is 21°C - 24°C. In the evenings, it gets a bit chilly and hovers around 55°F - 60°F which is 13°C - 16°C. Please pack accordingly for your trip.

  • Where can we stay?

We have room blocks in several hotels, all of which are 10-12 minutes walking distance to the event locations and central to Antigua. However, you are welcome to utilize AirBnB if you prefer. Please note that Antigua is a UNESCO-protected city. The buildings are charming but may be antiquated and not be as convenient as hotels.

You can find more information here at Travel + Accommodations.

  • How can we get around in Antigua?

Uber is available in Antigua. However, Antigua is a beautiful and completely walkable city.
